NEW RELEASE:
GOREALA – METAPHOR ZA MTAA

On the violent streets of Eastlands Nairobi - the slums, the ghettos, the poor and the corrupt – a new rapper grew to be known as Goreala. Metaphor za Mtaa, the no.1 Ragz2Records release, is a testimony of life in modern Africa, conceived in a studio founded to nurture the Nairobi ghetto talent. Hip hop is the medium of carrying the poetic message to you disguised in metaphors, street metaphors...

"It's about how we grew up, the things we've seen, the transition to a new future, but still seeing the bullshit of the past and tryin’ to overcome it. Justice and injustice; politics, thieves and streets, and surviving in peace."

Real Name: Erick Mukunza Busisa
Stage name: Goreala

Goreala is a hardcore underground rapper who hails from Kayole, a violent ghetto neighborhood in the city of Nairobi. His love for hip-hop emerged when he was a kid and started free styling. Like many other underground hip-hop artists he went to showcase his talent in various clubs among them Florida 2000 (F2) which is famous for giving opportunities to budding artists to show their customers what they are made of.

In his quest to establish himself as a hip-hop artist, Goreala has done a couple of shows and visited many studios for recording and now he is producing tracks on his own after he recently left a studio he was working in, somewhere in the streets of the city center. Over the years he recorded his demo 19/61, named after the Kayole Matatubus line. Now, Goreala recorded his first official studio album at Ragz2Records. The Metaphor za Mtaa release, later in 2007, will be followed by a tour with Projekt and BoulaOne, the French producer of the album.
